What's the purpose of the new user login?

can someone clarify the purpose of the new login so my questions as follow:

  1. if i create a moviebase account can i import my trakt data
  2. from moviebase account if i watched a movie or tv show will it sync with trakt
  3. is it possible to use trakt account and moviebase account at the same time

At the moment it is not possible to use trakt and moviebase together.

But the plan is to have Moviebase as main account and Trakt as additional service. This will help a better sync of data.
