Version 6.1.5 Still Has a Bad Progress List

Chris,

I just received version 6.1.5. The Progress List is still listing a lot of shows with no aired episodes that are unwatched. Please give priority to fixing this. This is the most important page in the app, and the way it is now is just annoying. I don’t want to wade through a bunch of shows for which I have already watched all the available episodes to find the ones with something to watch.

Thanks

As I understand you correctly it’s more like the include complete is not working so it’s more like a bug on the UI/filtering?

Chris,

No, that is not what is happening. Include Complete would include all my completed shows - over 1,000.

What is happening is what you said before. The Progress List is including any show that has any episode listed that is not marked as watched, including episodes that have no aired date and episodes that have an air date that has not passed. That is wrong. It should only list shows that have an unwatched episode with an aired date that has passed. That is the way version 5 has worked for a long time, and that is how it should work. All you need to do is make it work the way version 5 already does, and it will be correct.

The two above are also completed, but are they in the list?

Yes, those are screenshots from the Progress List. The shows that are showing up in the list but should not be are like these. They are completed shows (all available episodes watched), but they also have episodes listed that either

  1. have an aired date that has not yet passed or

  2. have no aired date listed

Below are screen shots of those two shows and one more showing the episodes they have listed that have not aired at the time when this Progress List was displayed. They are all completed shows, but they are showing up in the list even though “Include Complete” is not set.

But there are many shows that have been completed that are not shown in the Progress List because they do not have additional uncompleted and unaired episodes in their season/episode listing. It’s just the ones with such episodes listed that are showing up in the Progress List but should not be.

Chris,

I just received version 6.1.6, and it appears to fix this problem. Thank you very much.

Yeah, it was on the UI, so not filtering out exactly what has been watched and what not.

Is there any specific issue still open? Except for the calendar/episode list

Otherwise, I would continue to develop new features.

Chris,

Yes, there are still two major issues.

  1. Synchronization is not working at all. I have three devices connected to my account. I make changes on Device #1. The changes never appear on Device #2 or Device #3. The synchronization works well in version 5, but it doesn’t seem to be working at all in version 6. Even selecting synchronize on the profile page doesn’t help. I can send screen shots showing that the Progress Pages on Device #2 and Device # 3 don’t show episodes that have been marked as watched when I mark them on Device #1, if you need me to prove that it’s not working. It doesn’t matter how long I wait.

  2. Unless you have found a fix I don’t know about, there is still the problem with a restore from a backup locking me out of doing further updates in the app. If you think you have fixed something there, I can test it again, but I don’t really want to go through that if it is just going to lock me out again. Do you think you have found that problem?

I also had a strange problem yesterday. On my primary device, I found that dozens of TV shows had been added to my list of Hidden Items. Most were shows I had never even heard of. I had certainly not hidden them. They all said they had been hidden since February 25, 2026. I hid no shows on that day. I have removed them all from my hidden list, but do you have any idea why they would suddenly have appeared there?

Thanks. I will look into the sync next.

I am not sure about the hidden items. How many items were there?

There were dozens of items added, maybe 40 -50. Here is a screenshot showing some of them. Most of them were shows I never heard of. As I said , I have removed them now. I have twelve Shows that I have actually hidden, and they are still there.
