Moviebase Backup Files Do Not Reflect the Latest Status

Hi Chris,

I have done extensive work with Moviebase Backup files, using them as a source for generating a variety of .csv extracts for analysis and report generation in Excel. I have seen that the backup files do not reflect the latest status of my database. Often various lists do not contain the latest information as of the time the backup was created. Any list that has changed in recent days may not reflect those changes. This includes both standard and user generated lists. Items that were removed may still appear in the backup. Items that were added may not be present. It seems this would mean that a restore from one of those backups would not be accurate as of the time of the backup.

I am wondering if this is because data that has not yet been synced is not reflected in a backup. If that correct? Can you tell us how long it might take for an item that is changed to be synced? I am currently not syncing with Trakt, but only within Moviebase. This seems to be a problem that could give us a false sense of security when we perform a backup. If it doesn’t contain the most up to date information, it could be much less useful than we think.

I would be grateful for your insights into this issue.
